The Centres for Health and Education Programmes (CHEPs) is a registered Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in Kenya. Its goal is to empower, promote access and improve quality of health and education for the benefit of under resourced individuals and communities. Its activities spread across health, education, agriculture, environment, development and humanitarian fields.
The First CHEPs Conference was held in Nairobi on 1-2 March 2014 on the theme “ Education and Community Development”. It was attended by academicians, university students and NGOs.
The Second Annual CHEPs Conference on the theme “Ideas into practice: celebrating innovation” was held 1-3 May 2015 at the Light Academy Boy’s Secondary, Karen, Nairobi.
The conference brought together academicians, students, NGOs and experts from both public and private sectors in the health, education, agriculture, environment, development, humanitarian relief and other fields, to share knowledge and experiences on the conference theme.
The conference participants from all over the country participated in oral and poster presentations, plenary sessions, workshops, social entrepreneurship sessions and networking opportunities.
